El Indio Occupation

Detailed data are provided for all the collection lots in which El Indio ceramics were recovered, together with the average residential density during the El Indio phase for all those collection lots (as estimated using the method discussed in Chapter 2 of the corresponding dissertation). The basic data map is provided in vector format and two raster formats.

In vector format, there is an AutoCAD (Release 12) .DXF file called ELINDIO.DXF. Each collection lot that yielded El Indio sherds is indicated by an AutoCAD closed polyline on the layer LOTS (color Cyan) enclosing its complete area. The estimated residential density (average value, in people/ha) for the El Indio phase is attached to the polyline for each collection lot as its z-value (that is, its elevation). Click here to download the file ELINDIO.DXF (75 KB).

In raster format, cell values are estimated residential densities (average values, in people/ha) for the El Indio phase. The Idrisi layers are in ELINDIO-IDRISI.ZIP (a compressed file that contains ELINDIO.RDC and ELINDIO.RST). Click here to download the file ELINDIO-IDRISI.ZIP (8 KB). The GeoTIFF format is in ELINDIO-GEOTIFF.ZIP (a compressed file that contains ELINDIO.TFW and ELINDIO.TIF). Click here to download the file ELINDIO-GEOTIFF.ZIP (4 KB).
