Wankarani Settlement Dataset |
The data file WART.TXT contains the densities and proportions of various artifact classes recovered in surface collections on Wankarani sites. Each line represents a Wankarani site. There are 17 lines, each with 29 variables separated by commas. The variables are, in the following order:

This indicates that at site LJ-B, mean sherd density (per square meter) is 19.125; with error ranges of ±9.145 at the 80% confidence level, ±17.765 at the 90% confidence level, and ±32.610 at the 99% confidence level. The mean biface density (per square meter) is 0.4; with error ranges of ±0.260, ±0.500, and ±0.924 at the same three confidence levels. The percentage of bifaces (among all artifacts) is 1.688; ±0.918, ±1.663, and ±2.758. The mean retouch debris density (per square meter) is 0.45; ±0.737, ±1.432, and ±2.628. The retouch debris to utilized bifaces ratio is 0.9; ±1.380, ±2.498, and ±4.144. The mean basalt artifact density (per square meter) is 4.3; ±3.171, ±6.160, and ±11.308.
