Rajajil Columns
Geophysics Dataset

Bryan K. Hanks

This dataset complements the article The Rajajil Columns: employing multi-method geophysical survey to investigate monument construction and use (2025), Antiquity: Project Gallery, Cambridge University Press, by Bryan Hanks and Mesfer Hamad Alqahtani. It provides the results of a multi-instrument geophysical survey in an area of prehistoric stone column constructions in northern Saudi Arabia.

DATASET FILES
Designed by Madison Holcomb and Zoƫ Walsh

The files below provide the results of geophysical surveys at the Rajajil Columns archaeological site. They provide data on fluxgate gradiometry, low-frequency multi-depth electromagnetic apparent conductivity/susceptibility, and GPR in formats native to the geophysical hardware used, as well as additional file types (e.g. .csv, xyz, etc.) that may be imported and used with other software programs. The two native files types are:

CMD Data

Fluxgate Data

GPR Data
