Rajajil Columns
Geophysics Dataset

Bryan K. Hanks

Data was collected with a Bartington 601 single probe fluxgate gradiometer. These data were downloaded to a laptop utilizing TerraSurveyor64 Therefore, the raw data file conforms to this software. If you are running this software, you can move either of these site files into your main TerraSurveyor folder and then open and work with either the individual grid files or the composite. Grid 4b was surveyed separately and therefore is a separate “site” and is not part of the composite for Grids1-5.

If you wish to work with the fluxgate data with a different software program, you will find a folder labeled “export”, in both of the folders “Rajajil Fluxgate Grid 4b” and “Rajajil Fluxgate Grids 1-5”. These export folders include the survey data saved as: .txt; xlsx; and XYZ file types that may be imported into other software applications.

FILE METADATA:

All grids were surveyed with the first traverse starting in the SW corner. Data were collected in a zig-zag fashion with traverse spacing at 0.50m and a data point taken every 0.125m along the traverse line. Grids 1, 2, 3, 4a and 5 are 20m x 20m grids. Grid 4b is a 10m x 10m grid. See the publication referenced above for additional information.
