East Profile: Scales are in cm, battleship curve at right indicates proportions of ceramic types by excavated level.

Cumandá, Unit 1: (VQ042-179708,9950909). This test produced few sherds, most of which are Pituro Dark Polished and Bermejo Thick. Cosanga appears only in the uppermost two layers. Pituro Dark Polished peaks in the lowest excavated levels, suggesting that it may preceed Bermejo Thick. A carbon sample from level 3, associated with Pituro Dark Polished ceramics produced a date of 1,604 ± 32 A.D. This is later than expected for this ceramic type.
