Survey Collection Lots

The location of every collection lot registered within the Zhangwu survey area is provided as an AutoCAD (Release 12) .DXF file named LOTS.DXF. The .ZIP file called LOTS.ZIP contains ArcGIS .SHP files with the same information.

The layers in the .DXF file, their colors, and the information contained on each are as follows:

• ALL_PERIODS (green): AutoCAD closed polylines enclosing the areas that represent the extents of each individual collection lot.
• SURVEY_LOTS (Yellow): AutoCAD text strings giving the number designation for each lot. These text strings correspond to the lot numbers in the ceramic and lithic inventories. Their insertion points are inside the polylines they correspond to, for AutoCAD or other programs capable of matching text strings to polylines in this way.
