The data files PLAZACAPACITIES.CSV and PLAZACAPACITIES.XLSX provide information on plaza size and varying capacities based on person density. PLAZACAPACITIES.CSV is a comma delimited ASCII text file; PLAZACAPACITIES.XLSX contains the same data in the form of an Excel spreadsheet.

DATA DICTIONARY:

Each line in the .CSV file represents a specific plaza group. There are 7 lines, each with 7 variables separated by commas. The variables are listed in the following order:

1 Group Number
2 Retaining Population
3 Plaza Size (m²)
4 0.46m²/person capacity
5 1m²/person capacity
6 3.4m²/person capacity
7 3.6m²/person capacity

The first line of the .CSV file, for example, looks like this:

Tutu Uitz Na Early Classic,100,700,1522,700,206,194

This means that the plaza group is Tutu Uitz Na Early Classic, the retaining population was 100, the plaza size is 700 square meters, it has a capacity of 1522 people at 0.46m²/person, it has a capacity of 700 people at 1m²/person, it has a capacity of 206 people at 3.4m²/person, and it has a capacity of 194 people at 3.6m²/person.
