Lower Dover Community Dataset
The data files FLAKETOOLS.CSV and FLAKETOOLS.XLSX provide information on the appearance, modification, and origin of all flake tools recovered from excavation lots. FLAKETOOLS.CSV is a comma delimited ASCII text file; FLAKETOOLS.XLSX contains the same data in the form of an Excel spreadsheet.

Each line in the .CSV file represents an individual flake tool. There are 996 lines, each with 7 variables separated by commas. The variables are listed in the following order:

| 3 | Cortex - yes refers to the presence of cortex, no refers to the absence of cortex |
| 4 | Quality of Material - coarse, medium, or fine |
| 5 | Extent Worked - little, medium, extensive |
| 6 | Non Local - whether the chert source where stone was quarried was local
0 - local 1 - non-local |

The first line of the .CSV file, for example, looks like this:
BR180-1-11,blade,yes,coarse,medium,0,prismatic blade
This means that the flake tool was excavated from BR180-1-11. The flake is fashioned into a blade with cortex present. The material is coarse in texture, has undergone a medium level of working, and it is local. The author's note states "prismatic blade."
