Lower Dover Community Dataset
The data files BIFACES.CSV and BIFACES.XLSX provide information on type, stage of production, treatment, modifications, and locality for all bifaces recovered from excavated lots. BIFACES.CSV is a comma delimited ASCII text file; BIFACES.XLSX contains the same data in the form of an Excel spreadsheet.

Each line in the .CSV file represents an individual biface within a lot. There are 65 lines, each with 13 variables separated by commas. The variables are listed in the following order:

| 11 | Quality of Material - coarse, medium, or fine |
| 12 | Non Local - whether the chert source where stone was quarried was local

The first line of the .CSV file, for example, looks like this:
BR180-1-11,broken biface ,early,battering,missing,missing,butt,none,no,yes,fine,1,
This means that the biface was excavated from BR180-1-11. It is a broken biface in the early production stage, with an edge that has evidence of battering. The stated bit treatment and bit form are noted to be missing. The piece of the biface is the butt, which has no modifications, has not been burnt, and includes cortex. The material is fine in quality and is non-local. There are no notes on this biface.
