Lower Dover Community Dataset
The data files ARTIFACTLOG.CSV and ARTIFACTLOG.XLSX provide information on each artifact class recovered from each excavation lot (all contexts were assigned an individual lot number). ARTIFACTLOG.CSV is a comma delimited ASCII text file; ARTIFACTLOG.XLSX contains the same data in the form of an Excel spreadsheet.

Each line in the .CSV file represents a specific artifact class within each lot. There are 1,153 lines, each with 10 variables separated by commas. The variables are listed in the following order:

The first line of the .CSV file, for example, looks like this:
BR-180,BR-180,BR180-1,BR180-1-1,Surface,Ceramic,125,160,,
This means that the artifact class was found in group BR-180, structure BR-180, and in excavation unit BR180-1. It was recovered lot BR180-1 which was described as the surface. The artifact class is ceramic and there were 125 diagnostic sherds out of a total of 160 ceramics. There is no ID number or notes.
