Yahuay Alta Community Dataset |
The data files SURFCOLGROUPS.TXT and SURFCOLGROUPS.XLS show the groupings of surface collection units used for the intra-sector lithic analysis carried out in the dissertation associated with this dataset. This grouping was undertaken to ensure that each group had an appropriately large sample size. The data corresponds to Table B.2. (pp. 423) of the dissertation. SURFCOLGROUPS.TXT is an ASCII text file; SURFCOLGROUPS.XLS contains the same data in the form of an Excel spreadsheet. Each line represents one association. There are 55 lines in the text file, each with 2 variables separated by commas. The variables are, in the following order:
1 |
Group |
2 |
Surface collection units In each group |
The first line of the ASCII text file, for example, looks like this:
1,1
This indicates that group 1 is made up of surface collection 1.
The last, or 55th, line of the ASCII text file is:
55,"137, 138"
This indicates that group 55 is composed of units 137 and 138..
