Slopes

A GIS raster layer of slopes created from the DEM is also provided here. It was created by reducing the resolution of the DEM from cells 10 m by 10 m to cells 100 m by 100 m. Slopes were calculated from this lower resolution image in order to generalize more broadly. The result was then resampled back to a resolution of cells 10 m by 10 m to match the other layers for analysis. The layer is provided in Idrisi (SLOPE-IDRISI.ZIP) and GeoTIFF (SLOPE-GEOTIFF.ZIP) formats. Cell values are as follows:

• 0=territory outside the survey area
• 1=slopes of 0.0°-2.5°
• 2=slopes of 2.5°-5.0°
• 3=slopes of 5.0°-7.5°
• 4=slopes of 7.5°-10.0°
• 5=slopes of 10.0°-12.5°
• 6=slopes of 12.5°-15.0°
• 7=slopes of 15.0°-17.5°
